  1. How does the $8,000 repayment process work?
    • Once you graduate from a John Deere/Vermeer Tech or other accredited Diesel Technology program with an AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree, you will receive full-time employment with RDO Equipment Co. As a full-time employee, we reimburse you over a two-year period of time while you are gaining on the job experience.
    • An education reimbursement of $8,000 for the John Deere/Vermeer specific programs
    • Non-John Deere AAS Degree Diesel Programs receive $4,000 educational reimbursement
    • General Diesel non-AAS program certificates receive $2,000 educational reimbursement
  2. Do I have to be a high school student to be eligible for the Access Your Future program?
    • No. Access Your Future is open to anyone interested in completing a John Deere Tech or other accredited Diesel Technology program.
  3. What if the college I want to attend isn't listed on the application?
    • The relationships we currently have with colleges are based on their specific affiliation and accreditation with John Deere, Vermeer, AED or another consideration. We encourage our sponsorship students to attend one of these approved colleges.
  4. Do I get to choose my employment location in the program?
    • Yes. You have the opportunity to indicate your location of interest on your initial Access Your Future application. As you go through the program, that would be your sponsoring location. At the time of your graduation, you will receive full-time employment with RDO Equipment Co., preferably at that location, but if not, within another geographic area of the company.
  5. What type of equipment will I be working on?
    • RDO Equipment Co. operates John Deere, Vermeer and truck stores. Dependent upon your interest and where you want to be located, you can work at any of these.
  6. What will my pay be?
    • As a student, you have the ability to work part-time during the school year, or full-time in the summer the pay amount will be determined by your direct manager.
  7. Are there opportunities for advancement?
    • Yes! RDO Equipment Co. prides itself on providing employees the opportunity to advance within the organization according to their skills and experience. Notices of all regular, full-time job openings are posted on the RDO Equipment Co. website.
