  1. 1. How does the $12,000 repayment process work?
    • There are different requirements to receive the reimbursement depending on which path you choose.
      • Sponsorship Path - Once you graduate from a John Deere/Vermeer Tech or other accredited Diesel Technology program with an AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree, you will receive full-time employment with RDO Equipment Co. As a full-time employee, we will reimburse you over a two or four year period of time while you are gaining on-the-job experience.
      • Non-Sponsorship Path – Once you graduate from a John Deere/Vermeer Tech or other accredited Diesel Technology program with an AAS (Associate of Applied Science) or a certificate, you will receive full-time employment with RDO Equipment Co. As a full-time employee, you will need to meet the service technician expectations after 3 months of employment. Once you have met the expectations, we will reimburse you over a two or four year period of time.
    • You will have the option to be reimbursed over a two or four year period. There is an increase in reimbursement for the four year option.
      • John Deere/Vermeer specific programs receive a $12,000 reimbursement over a four year period or a $10,000 reimbursement over a two year period.
      • Non-John Deere AAS Degree Diesel programs receive a reimbursement of $10,000 over a four year period or an $8,000 reimbursement over a two year period.
      • General Diesel non-AAS program certificate programs receive a reimbursement of $4,500 over a four year period or a $3,000 reimbursement over a two year period.
  2. Do I have to be a high school student to be eligible for the Access Your Future program?
    • No. Access Your Future is open to anyone interested in completing or has completed a John Deere Tech or other accredited Diesel Technology program
  3. What if the college I want to attend isn't listed on the application?
    • The relationships we currently have with colleges are based on their specific affiliation and accreditation with John Deere, Vermeer, AED or another consideration. We encourage our students to attend one of these approved colleges
  4. What type of equipment will I be working on?
    • RDO Equipment Co. operates John Deere, Vermeer, and truck stores. Dependent upon your interest and where you want to be located, you can work at any of these.
  5. What will my pay be?
    • The pay amount will be determined by your direct manager
